If you head to the western end of the City of Waterloo, you will find one of the most beautiful areas of wooded land to be found in the region; Clair Forest. And scattered all around this piece of unspoiled Ontario woodland you will find the homes of Clair Hills.
Clair Hills is a relatively new subdivision compromised of a number of different home types, from smaller bungalows to large ‘executive’ homes. Most of these properties boast only small gardens, reducing the amount of personal outdoor maintenance a homeowner is responsible for, but having the forest in your backyard – a place where residents are free to roam – certainly makes up for that.
Thanks to the development of the nearby Boardwalk – which houses a huge variety of shops and a great Cineplex – there’s always something for Clair Hills residents to do without having to venture too far from home. In addition to the shopping and cinema, there are also lots of great restaurants nearby, the Blackberry headquarters and a number of other vibrant businesses are nearby and there are soccer fields, tennis courts and even a couple of outdoor skating rinks to enjoy.
As the Clair Hills subdivision is a big draw for young families schooling is a priority for many. Clair Hills is served by St. Nicholas Catholic School (JK-8) or Edna Staebler Elementary School (JK-6) and when they are ready for high school, they are bussed to Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School or Resurrection Catholic Secondary School.
